West Ham United have tabled an offer to Napoli for Nikola Maksimovic according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

The Premier League club have offered Napoli a sum of €25 million in exchange for the Serbian national team defender, who has little under a year left to run on his contract with Inter.

Napoli are taking their time to assess the offer they have receieved from West Ham United and the report states that Napoli weighing up the possibility of letting Maksimovic go underlines their desire to keep a hold of star defender Kalidou Koulibaly.

Inter have also registered an interest in signing Maksimovic amid ongoing media speculation surrounding the future of Milan Skriniar with the club.

Maksimovic joined Napoli back in the Summer of 2017 and has since made 73 appearances across all competitions to date for them, in which he has scored two goals and provided as many assists.
