Arturo Vidal has not suffered a serious injury according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player limped off the park shortly into the second half of last night’s 5-2 win away to Benevento and was clutching his thigh which led to fears that he may have sustained a muscle injury.

This report however states that this is not the case and he has simply only sustained a knock to his thigh. Given Inter face Lazio this weekend, Inter manager Antonio Conte simply did not want to take any risks hence why he substituted him right away.

The Milan based news outlet go on to praise Vidal in their report by claiming he is an energy multiplier who is impossible to do without. Yesterday’s match was his first as a starter for Inter and was a first confirmation of what Conte expects of him.
