Only a sensational turn of events could lead to Inter signing Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante before Monday’s transfer deadline according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have courted French national team central midfielder Kante for a little while now but Chelsea maintain that he is non-transferable.

Inter also have an interest in signing Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso and it will be easier for them to sign him than it will be Kante.

Alonso’s releations with Chelsea manager Frank Lampard have broken down and this helps out Inter who are looking to obtain the Spaniard on a loan basis.

The report from the Milan based news outlet d0es however state that signing Alonso depends on Inter’s ability to offload Dalbert due to the fact Inter are already well covered at left wing-back. If a buyer is not found for the Brazilian it will be difficult for Inter to bring Alonso in.
