Inter have been drawn against Real Madrid, Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach in Group B, in this evening’s 2020/21 Champions League group stage draw which took place at European football’s governing body UEFA’s headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, a short time ago.

Real Madrid are the most decorated club in the history of the competition having won it a record 13 times with their most recent win coming back in the 2017/18 edition.

Shakhtar Donetsk have never won the competition but are regular features in the group stage and the furthest they have went in the competition is the quarter finals.

Inter are three time winners of the competition, with their most recent success coming back in 2010 as part of their historic treble win under José Mourinho.

Borussia Monchengladbach, like Shakhtar Donetsk, have never won the competition although they did finish as runners up back in thr 1976/77 season.

The Champions League group stages are to begin in just under three weeks time on October 20 and the final will be held on May 29 2021 at the 75,145 capacity Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Turkey.

The exact dates and kick-off times of all the group stage matches will be confirmed this Friday.
