Cagliari are growing increasingly optimistic about their chances of completing a deal to bring Radja Nainggolan back to the club according to a report from Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.
Cagliari president Tommaso Giulini met with Inter central midfielder Nainggolan’s agent Alessandro Beltrami earlier on today and the negotiations are taking shape on the basis of a loan with obligation to buy deal.
Nainggolan spent the duration of last season out on loan at Cagliari and the Sardinia based Rossoblu club have far from hidden their desire to bring him back to the club since his return to Inter.
If a return to Cagliari does go on to materialise for Nainggolan it will end a two year spell for him at Inter, in which he made 37 appearances across all competitions. During his time on the park, the 32-year-old Belgian, has scored seven goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
