Inter will not try to sign Chelsea’s Spanish wing-back Marcos Alonso, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reported on air moments ago.

According to the report, Inter have denied that any attempts will be made for the former Fiorentina player, who looks destined to leave Stamford Bridge, after several reports in the UK talk of a falling out with Blues manager Frank Lampard.

Former Chelsea and current Inter coach Antonio Conte is a huge fan of the player, having signed him when at the club, but sources inside the Nerazzurri have confirmed to Di Marzio that it is very unlikely that an attempt to sign Marcos Alonso will be made.

However, Di Marzio stated that despite these denials by Inter “we can leave a window open to this possibility [of Inter trying again to sign Marcos Alonso.]”

In conclusion, Di Marzio reports that the Nerazzurri have confirmed to him that Matteo Darmian will Inter’s last signing this transfer window.
