Kwadwo Asamoah appears set terminate his contract with Inter soon according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Ghanaian national team defender is far from being a first option at Inter and has knocked back the advances of both Sampdoria and Genoa lately.
He could terminate his contract soon before making a decision on his future, which appears as good as certain to be away from Inter.
Asamoah joined Inter back in the Summer of 2018 on a free transfer after his contract with arch rivals Juventus had expired at the end of the previous season.
The 31-year-old barely played whatsoever last season due to a recurring knee injury with him limited to just 11 appearances across all competitions. In his time with the club, Asamoah has made a total of 53 appearances across all competitions, in which he has provided a total of three assists.
