Matteo Darmian has signed his contract with Inter according to a report from the online edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian wing-back underwent his Inter medical and has put pen to paper on a reported four year contract with the Nerazzurri club.

The player will now return to Parma to collect his personal belongings and will also ask the Ducali club to not play him against Hellas Verona this weekend in order to avoid picking up an injury which could derail his move to Inter, which will reportedly cost Inter €2.5 million.

Whether Parma accept Darmian’s request remains to be seen but in any case the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Darmian will be available to Inter manager Antonio Conte from this coming Monday.

Darmian’s Inter debut could therefore come in the Milan derby on October 17 with Inter set to play the role of hosts to city rivals AC Milan at San Siro.
