Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is likely to start against Lazio tomorrow, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder, who is contracted to the club until 2022, was taken off in the Nerazzurri’s 5-2 win over Benevento on Wednesday due to a slight thigh muscle injury. It was not serious enough to concern the Nerazzurri.
Vidal took part in tactical training with his teammates yesterday, the report continues, and if there are no surprises then the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich midfielder will start against the Biancocelesti tomorrow.
The Chilean’s strength, powerful tackle and efficiency in midfield will be key against the Roman club, in a game that could have important ramifications for coach Antonio Conte’s season.
Vidal made 43 appearances across all competitions last season for Barcelona, scoring eight goals and providing three assists in that time.
