Inter and Napoli target Boubakary Soumaré will give a definitive answer this weekend regarding the offers he has received, according to a report from French media outlet Telefoot on Twitter earlier today.

The report details how the two clubs have both submitted offers for the 21-year-old French midfielder, who is contracted to the Ligue 1 side until 2022. The value of the offers has not been revealed yet.

The player is currently considering both offers and is expected to give a definitive response by the end of the weekend, with the transfer market closing early next week.

Soumaré made 30 appearances across all competitions last season for Lille, for a total of 2082 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist and helped the side keep six clean sheets.

Coach Antonio Conte has been looking for a strong defensive-minded midfielder to finalise his midfield department.

Telefoot described the situation in a post on their Twitter page, saying: “Inter & Napoli speed up in race for Boubakary Soumaré. Offers have already been made to Lille. The midfield is considering both offers. Response expected this weekend.”
