Inter full back Dalbert has officially joined Ligue 1 side Rennes on a season-long loan, according to an official announcement from the French club on Twitter earlier tonight.

The report details how the 27-year-old Brazilian joined the French club on a loan deal with a buy option attached, with an unreported fee. The player was not in coach Antonio Conte’s plans and failed to appear in the first two games of the season, remaining on the bench.

Dalbert is joining Juventus owned defender Daniele Rugani at Rennes, who have been looking to strengthen their squad to help compete in the Champions League.

Dalbert made 34 appearances across all competitions last season for Fiorentina, for a total of 2751 minutes. In that time, he provided nine assists and did impress the club, but they were not looking to sign him on a permanent deal, and so he returned to Milan.
