Tottenham are set to sell seven players on transfer deadline day and could use the funds to sign Inter defender Milan Skriniar, according to a report from British media outlet Football Insider earlier today.

The report details how the North London club are set to sell Juan Foyth, Serge Aurier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Paulo Gazzaniga, Ryan Sessegnon and Jack Clarke on Monday, which is expected to raise a fairly significant amount.

Talks between the Nerazzurri and Spurs have been constant, even if Jose Mourinho’s team have already identified Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger has an alternative. That deal would be tough as the Blues are not keen to sell the player to their rivals.

The 25-year-old Skriniar, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system last season, in particular his preference for a three-man defense. The defender played the full 90 minutes against Benevento on Wednesday.
