Former Inter coach Corrado Orrico discussed new Inter signing Achraf Hakimi when speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia yesterday.

“He is an extra arrow in the Inter’s bow. He brought speed and unpredictability, qualities that are key of a champion like him.”

The 21-year-old Hakimi, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2025, was the club’s top summer signing this window, costing around €40 million from Real Madrid.

The Moroccan attracted the attention of the Nerazzurri thanks to his incredibly strong two seasons on loan with German side Borussia Dortmund.

Last season, he made 45 appearances across all competitions for the Bundesliga side, for a total of 3571 minutes. In that time, he scored nine goals and provided ten assists, being one of the most dangerous full backs in the league.

Hakimi is already impressing under coach Antonio Conte. The 21-year-old Moroccan has appeared in both of Inter’s opening two games of the season, scoring one goal and providing two assists in only 116 minutes on the pitch. He is likely to feature against Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio this afternoon.
