French media outlet L’Equipe posted an article earlier today reporting that Inter midfielder Joao Mario was set to join Paris Saint-Germain, before deleting it minutes later, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInter1908 earlier today.

The report details how the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder is supposedly set to join the French giants on a loan deal, joining Everton forward Moise Kean. Joao Mario is set to undergo his medicals today before the deal is finalised.

Moments after posting the article, L’Equipe changed the headline to include a question mark, implying that the deal is not confirmed but questionable. Seven minutes after that, the article was removed entirely.

The Nerazzurri have been quickly looking for a new home for the 27-year-old Portuguese midfielder, who did not particularly impress last season whilst on loan with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow.

Torino are also reported to be interested in acquiring the player on loan, with talks ongoing.
