Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan was not called up for today’s clash against Lazio due to transfer market reasons, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder has fully recovered from his recent injury that forced him to miss the game against Benevento earlier this week on Wednesday, and has been training with the squad.
Inter still have not reached an agreement with Cagliari regarding a transfer, the report continues, although the Sardinian club are incredibly keen to acquire the former Roma midfielder.
The Nerazzurri have lowered their requests, but not low enough to match Cagliari’s top offer of €8 million, which includes 19-year-old Italian midfielder Riccardo Ladinetti.
The Milanese club have not accepted the offer yet and talks are still ongoing, although time is running out if Nainggolan is going to move to Sardinia in this transfer window.
