Joao Mario only wants to leave Inter for Sporting CP according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Portuguese national team midfielder has long been out of Inter’s plans and is currently waiting to find out where his footballing future will be.

Inter managed to reach an agreement with Torino over him yesterday but Joao Mario is stalling as he is waiting on Sporting CP making a move to bring him back to the club, who he left Inter for back in 2016.

Joao Mario has said no to a move to Torino although it is not a definitive no. Torino will continue to try and sign him, even if the player wants a move to Sporting CP.

Inter would rather loan Joao Mario to Torino due to the fact they are willing to pay €1.8 million of his wages whilst Sporting CP are only willing to pay €1 million.

The report from the Turin based news outlet concludes that with the transfer market in Portugal not closing until tomorrow, Joao Mario still has time to try and force Inter into loaning him to them.
