Italian journalist Fabrizio Biasin discussed Inter’s heated 1-1 draw with Lazio yesterday in a post on his Twitter page.
Biasin discussed the game in a Tweet, saying: “Several mistakes, a lot of confusion, a lot of naivety and a ‘tough’ opponent. Inter must start to hope less in individual player’s play and expect much more from the game. A step back, but luckily the road is long.”
The Nerazzurri started the game slowly, with Lazio mostly in control, before Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez found the opening goal in the 30th minute.
Serbian midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic found an equaliser early in the second half, which set up a tense final 30 minutes in the Stadio Olimpico.
First, Lazio forward Ciro Immobile was sent off for violent conduct, before Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi suffered the same fate 17 minutes later, leaving both squads to end the game with 10 men.
Inter lost this fixture last season and so coach Antonio Conte is happy to leave the Stadio Olimpico with a point, although he will be unhappy about losing Sensi to suspension.
The Nerazzurri’s next game is against Genoa on the 17th September, after the international break.
#LazioInter
