Inter receieved a fee just shy of half a million from Vicenza for striker Samuele Longo according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Nerazzurri club sold the 28-year-old striker to the Serie B outfit yesterday prior to the transfer window closing and they receieved a fee of €400,000 for the player, who came through the club’s youth ranks around about a decade ago.

Longo was once a highly rated youngster but ultimately failed to live up to all the promise he showed as a youngster. Between 2012 and this Summer, Longo had no less than 11 loan spells away from Inter, who he only made a total of two first team appearances for.

Longo has joined the newly promoted Serie B club on a three year contract and could make his debut for his new employers on October 17 away to another newly promoted side in Monza.
