Radja Nainggolan and Christian Eriksen both had the chance to leave Inter in the final days of the recently concluded transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter and Cagliari held negotiatons over Nainggolan but ultimately never came close to agreeing a deal over the player, who had managed to agree personal terms with the Sardinian club.

Inter wanted at least €10 million but Cagliari only wanted to renew last season’s loan deal. Cagliari were unable to meet Inter’s demands and therefore the Belgian central midfielder has had to stay at Inter, at least until the January transfer window.

As for Eriksen, Paris Saint-Germain, Hertha Berlin and Atletico Madrid all showed an interest in signing him but Inter were not open to loaning out the Danish national team player, who they acquired in a circa €20 million deal from Tottenham Hotspur back in the January transfer window.
