Inter manager Antonio Conte has communicated to Milan Skriniar that he is counting on him according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Skriniar drew strong links over a potential move to Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur during the recently concluded Summer transfer window but he is still an Inter player and as per this report everything has changed for him as he is considered as a mainstay in defence.
After not starting against Fiorentina due to the transfer market speculation, the highly rated Slovakian national team regained his starting role and has started in each of Inter’s last two matches against Benevento and Lazio.
Skriniar joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 in a player plus cash deal from fellow Serie A club Sampdoria. The 25-year-old has made 130 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he has scored four goals and tallied as many assists.
