AC Milan are to recover Zlatan Ibrahimovic and club captain Alessio Romagnoli for the upcoming Derby della Madonnina against Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Ibrahimovic is currently sidelined due to COVID-19 but AC Milan are hopeful of him being able to return to training just shortly ahead of the derby with Inter on October 17.

Romagnoli will meanwhile resume training with his teammates today after a long injury layoff due to a calf problem. Whilst he will still need to find fitness and get back into shape, his availability will come as a huge boost to AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli.

The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that it is a little more difficult to Ante Rebic to be recovered in time for the derby due to the fact he is still struggling with an elbow injury.
