Inter wing-back Ashley Young has revealed he would leave Inter immediately if he had the opportunity to once again play for former club Watford.

The experienced Englishman, who joined Inter back in the most recent January transfer window from Manchester United and is under contract with them until the end of this season, came through the ranks at English championship side Watford and made over 100 senior appearances for them.

“If I could play for Watford again, I would leave Italy right now. Watford is what I know, it’s where I come from and Watford is what allowed me to be who I am and to get to where I am. They gave me a humble start,” Young explained in an interview with Watford’s official club podcast ‘Golden Tales’.

Since joining Inter, the 35-year-old wing-back has impressed with his performances. He has made 28 appearances across all competitions to date fo the club, in which he has scored four goals and provided six assists for his teammates.

Young has played in all three of Inter’s games to date this season and in his time on the park, which totals 152 minutes, he has provided his teammates with a single assist.
