Paris Saint-Germain made a last minute attempt to sign Inter central defender Milan Skriniar in the recently closed transfer window according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.
Paris Saint-Germain tabled a loan with option to buy deal to Inter. Paris Saint-Germain were prepared to pay €2 million for the initial loan, have the option to sign him set at €40 million plus €5 million in easily achievable add-ons.
Inter never accepted the offer but the report explains that had it been made a few days earlier they could well have accepted it.
Although Paris Saint-Germain had only offered a loan with option to buy, it did not bother Inter due to the fact they have trust in Paris Saint-Germain sporting director Leonardo who took Mauro Icardi from the club on the same basis and bought him outright in the end.
The report goes on to explain that it cannot be ruled out that Paris Saint-Germain will come back in for the Slovakian national team player next Summer.
