AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has taken to social media platform Twitter to confirm that he has now returned a negative test for COVID-19 and is thus no longer positive for the virus.

Ibrahimovic tested positive at the last round of testing but after 15 days of self isolation at his home he has now tested negative and as a result of this he will now be available to the Rossoneri for the upcoming Derby della Madonnina against Inter.

The veteran Swedish striker posted: “You are cured! Health authorities informed, the quarantine is over. You can get out!”

With Ibrahimovic now cured of COVID-19, it leaves a total of seven players between Inter and AC Milan who are currently COVID-19 positive.

These players are Inter quintet Alessandro Bastoni, Radja Nainggolan, Ionut Andrei Radu, Milan Skirniar, Roberto Gagliardini and AC Milan duo Matteo Gabbia and Leo Duarte.

The Milan derby is scheduled to take place at 18:00 local time on Saturday October 17 at San Siro with Inter the designated home side for the encounter.
