Inter could possibly make a move for a new wing-back in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report explains that if there is a gap needing to be filled in Inter’s squad, it is certainly on the left hand side. Inter failed to sign either of Emerson Palmieri or Marcos Alonso from Chelsea and as things stand Inter have three wing-backs in their side in Achraf Hakimi, Ivan Perisic and Ashley Young, the latter of whom can be a wildcard and play on either side.

If required Inter could call upon Aleksandar Kolarov, Matteo Darmian or Danilo D’Ambrosio to play a wing-back given they all have played their for most of their careers, even if they are now considered as part of Inter’s centre back department.

Depending on how things go between now and January, Inter could move to bring in a new wing-back, just like they did last January when they brought in Young and Victor Moses.
