Nicolo Barella will be back in the Italy starting line-up to take on Poland in the UEFA Nations League on Sunday night according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

The Inter central midfielder was not part of the Italy team who thrashed Moldova 6-0 a few days ago but will be back in the midfield for Roberto Mancini’s Azzurri at the Stadion Energa Gdańsk.

Whilst Barella is certain to start, fellow Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi is battling it out with Paris Saint-Germain player Marco Verratti for a place in the starting line-up and Verratti is the current favourite to start over Sensi.

Sensi came off the bench at the tail end of the win over Moldova but did not have much time at all to make an impact and it now remains to be seen if he will be able to overcome Verratti in the battle and start against Poland.
