Inter central midfielder Radja Nainggolan has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to provide his fans with an update on his condition after it was confirmed that he has tested positive for COVID-19.
Nainggolan is one of five Inter players who are currently COVID-19 positive with the other four players being Ionut Andrei Radu, Roberto Gagliardini, Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar.
The Belgian, who came very close to leaving for Cagliari in the recently closed transfer window, joined Inter in a players plus cash deal from fellow Serie A side Roma back in the Summer of 2018.
Nainggolan has just under two years left to run on his contract with Inter and has appeared in just one of Inter’s three matches across all competitions to date this term.
Since his arrival at the club, the 32-year-old has made 37 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored seven goals and provided his teammates with three assists.
He posted the following to his Instagram Story: “Hello everyone unfortunately I too have tested positive for Covid. I am in isolation, I have read many of your messages and I sincerely thank you for the affection you are sending me, hope to come back soon.”
