Arturo Vidal seems to be the only untouchable player in Inter’s midfield at the moment according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Vidal has started two of Inter’s three games to date this season and is one of an abundance of midfield options available to Inter manager Antonio Conte, who has changed the midfield in each of Inter’s three matches this term.

Vidal recently completed a long awaited move to Inter and is both a player who Conte can trust and utilise as a real wildcard in the middle of the park due to his ability to play various roles.

Against Fiorentina on matchday one, Inter lined up in a 3-4-1-2 system. Nicolo Barella and Marcelo Brozovic were the midfield two whilst Christian Eriksen was the attacking midfielder.

In the following match against Benevento he deployed the team in a 3-5-2 system with Stefano Sensi, Vidal and Roberto Gagliardini starting that match.

In Inter’s most recent match, which was a 1-1 draw away to Lazio this past weekend, they once again lined up in a 3-5-2 system although this time the midfield consisted of Vidal, Gagliardini and Nicolo Barella.
