Inter coach Antonio Conte will have limited options in next weekend’s derby against AC Milan, due to the positive COVID-19 cases in the squad, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach’s squad choices will be limited due to the positive cases, with Radja Nainggolan, Roberto Gagliardini, Ionut Radu, Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar all coming down with the contagion.
As such, next week’s defense will be made up of Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij and Aleksandar Kolarov, with Matteo Darmian being the top alternative. The midfield will be made up of Nicolo Barella and Arturo Vidal, with Marcelo Brozovic likely to start ahead of Christian Eriksen.
Next Saturday’s derby against AC Milan is still set to go ahead, although the Nerazzurri could ask for a postponement if there are five more positive cases in the squad.
