Benevento coach Filippo Inzaghi discussed the title race this season and the teams that could look to upset Juventus in an interview at the Milan Sports Festival. His words were gathered by Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

“Juventus remains the favorites, Inter have strengthened a lot and will fight until the end because they  have an equal, if not even higher strength, Lazio without the lockdown would have won the Scudetto, as ten they are as strong as the others.

“I hope the Biancocelesti do important things in the Champions League.”

Inzaghi also spoke about two other teams that could be important in this season’s title race, Roma and Napoli. The Giallorossi already forced the Bianconeri to drop points last month.

“Roma and Napoli? The easiest games because we have nothing to lose.

“We know that we will struggle and that we will have to fight, but whatever happens I would like to see a team that is proactive and that knows how to stand up to every opponent.”

Atalanta and AC Milan are currently at the top of the league table after the first few games of the season, with both teams winning their first three matches.

The Nerazzurri lag a little behind, after their disappointing 1-1 draw with Lazio last weekend. Antonio Conte knows the importance of momentum and starting the season strongly and so will be hoping for a vital three points against AC Milan next weekend.

Juventus, with unproven coach Andrea Pirlo, have played one less game than their rivals currently, after their clash with Napoli was postponed due to the effects of Coronavirus.
