Colombia midfielder Wilfried Barrios spoke about Inter duo Alexis Sanchez and Arturo Vidal in an interview with Spanish media outlet As, as reported by Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

“I think they are very experienced players who have done very good things in European football. In addition to this we have the teamwork to try to cut between their lines, because Chile is a team that play very well.

“They have known each other for a long time.”

The 31-year-old Sanchez, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2023, joined the club on loan last summer from Premier League side Manchester United.

His time in the Lombardy capital was initially underwhelming, with the player suffering from a long-term injury in the first half of the season.

He was instrumental in the latter half of the Nerazzurri’s campaign, being an incredibly important offensive outlet for coach Antonio Conte. He was permanently signed by Inter in the summer, a sign of his importance to the 51-year-old Italian.

The former Juventus and Chelsea coach has also wanted the 33-year-old Vidal for some time now, requesting the player last year. He finally got his many last month, and the player has quickly settled in Milan.

Vidal, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, has impressed in his three appearances under Conte, and will start in the derby against AC Milan next week.
