Inter coach Antonio Conte is the highest paid coach in Serie A, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 51-year-old Italian coach receives around €12 million net per season, with his contract lasting until 2022.

Juventus coach Andrea Pirlo, in comparison, receives around €1.8 million net per season, owing to the fact that it is his first experience in the role.

For the Bianconeri Massimiliano Allegri is no longer on the payroll, but former coach Maurizio Sarri is still receiving a salary of €5.5 million net, or €11 million gross, per year. Total staff costs for the Turin based club are €15 million gross.

Inter are paying significantly more, around €31 million gross, not forgetting former coach Luciano Spalletti, who earns around €4.5 million net or €9 million gross per year until next June.

Other high paid coaches in Serie A include Roma’s Paulo Fonseca, who earns €2.5 million net, Gian Piero Gasperini with €2.2 million net and Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi, Bologna’s Sinisa Mihajlovic and AC Milan’s Stefano Pioli, who all earn €2 million net per season.
