Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Italian defender Alessio Romagnoli will both start for AC Milan in next week’s derby against Inter, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 39-year-old Swedish veteran has recovered after catching COVID-19, with his last two tests both returning negative. The player is an important part of the Rossoneri set-up, both for his experience and leadership, as well as striking prowess.

The AC Milan captain is also returning to the squad, after suffering a calf muscle injury back in the summer, the report continues. His presence is required after Matteo Gabbia tested positive for COVID-19.

Alongside Romagnoli in defense will be Simon Kjær, Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez. Starting in midfield will be Franck Kessie and Ismaël Bennacer, with Brahim Diaz, Hakan Calhanoglu and Alexis Saelemaekers ahead of them.

Ante Rebic is expected to start on the bench as he has not fully recovered from his elbow dislocation, suffered two weeks ago.
