All barring one of Inter’s players currently away on international duty will not return until Thursday according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was broadcast a short time ago.

Achraf Hakimi, who is currently away with the Moroccan national team will return on Wednesday. Stefan de Vrij, Aleksandar Kolarov, Lautaro Martinez, Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic, Arturo Vidal, Alexis Sanchez, Nicolo Barella, Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefano Sensi, Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku will all meanwhile return on Thursday.

Given the amount of players away plus those currently sidelined due to being COVID-19 positive, it is particularly hard for Inter manager Antonio Conte to properly prepare for this coming weekend’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan.

The report from the broadcaster goes on to highlight that this weekend’s derby is not the only thought on the mind of Conte, who is also thinking about the seven games that his side will face over a 23 day spell, starting with the derby on Saturday evening.
