The performance of Stefan de Vrij was one of few positives for the Netherlands in their goalless draw against Bosnia and Herzegovina yesterday according to a report from Dutch news outlet VoetbalPrimeur.

The Inter central defender played his second consecutive game for the Dutch national team at the Bilino Polje Stadium yesterday night and whilst solid defensively and a big part in Frank de Boer’s side obtaining a clean sheet, de Vrij was also dangerous in the attack too.

VoetbalPrimeur stated: “He was one of the few bright points for the Oranje. de Vrij was finally able to show himself for 90 minutes in the national team and excelled in his duels. The best Serie A defender was also one of the most dangerous men in the goal zone.”

de Vrij joined Inter on a free transfer in the Summer of 2018 following the expiration of his contract with fellow Serie A side Lazio at the end of the previous season.

Since his arrival at the club, the former Feyenoord player has made 84 appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has scored six goals and provided as many assists for his teammates. This season he has two appearances to his name.
