Former Inter defender Kwadwo Asamoah has entered into contract negotiations with Sampdoria according to a report from Ghanaian news outlet Ghanasoccernet.com.

The experienced Ghanaian national team full back recently terminated his contract with Inter, where he had slid down the pecking order and looked to have limited playing opportunities, and he could well remain in Serie A by joining Sampdoria.

Asamoah has had no shortage of interest shown in his services with Olympique Marseille, Crotone, Reading all understood to have made serious attempts to sign him.

The report goes on to explain that Asamoah is seeking an annual salary of €1 million from Sampdoria, who are keen to add Asamoah to their ranks after a poor start to the 2020/21 season.

Asamoah joined Inter on a free transfer in the Summer of 2018 after his contract with Juventus expired at the end of the previous season. In his two years with Inter, Asamoah made 53 appearances across all competitions for the club, in which he tallied three assists.
