Former Real Madrid and AC Milan attacker Robinho has shared his belief that Inter have nothing to envy about Real Madrid ahead of their meetings in the Champions League group stage in the coming weeks.

The first meeting between the two sides in group B of the Champions League group stage will take place on November 3 at the Alfredo Di Stefano stadium and the return leg will take place on November 25 at San Siro.

Inter and Real Madrid are largely expected to qualify for the knockout stages from their group which also contains Shakhtar Donetsk and Borussia Monchengladbach and Inter and Real Madrid’s two matches together will likely determine who wins the group.

“It will be a double fixture that will be really difficult and beautiful to watch. Inter and Real have ended up in a very competitive group, but we are talking about two absolutely big clubs who will both try to qualify in the first place,” the 36-year-old, who recently returned to first club Santos, told Italian news outlet TuttoMercatoWeb.

Robinho, who spent 137 appearances for Real Madrid during a three year spell in the mid 2000s, went on to add that such games are hard to predict.

“When two clubs like this meet, anything can happen. We will see some good matches, first in Madrid and then in Milan. The Nerazzurri have nothing to envy about Los Blancos.”
