Inter could possibly bring Sergio Aguero to the club on a free transfer this coming Summer according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.it.

The prolific Argentine striker’s current contract with Manchester City is due to expire at the end of the current season and Inter could potentially look to bring him to the club, especially if interest from elsewhere picks back up in Lautaro Martinez.

Manchester City are said to be thinking about signing Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Braut Haaland to be Aguero’s long term replacement and for this reason Aguero could leave when his contract comes to an end.

The report goes on to explain that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta would be prepared to offer Aguero a two year contract with an option to a third year with an annual salary of €7-8 million.

This season Aguero has made no appearances whatsoever due to a knee injury. He has scored 254 goals in 370 games for Manchester City since joining them in 2011.
