Arturo Vidal is already a leader of this Inter team according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Given that Roberto Gagliardini, Radja Nainggolan and Stefano Sensi will all be absent for the upcoming Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan, Vidal’s presence in the team will be even more important and he could be utilised as an attacking mezzala, the same role he made a name for himself in under Antonio Conte at Juventus.

The report goes on to explain that the Chilean national team player, like Conte, wants to end Juventus’ dominance in Italy.

Whilst Vidal is not the same player as he was first time round with Conte, Conte has found a new tactical solution which sees Vidal playing in a more balanced manner.

Gazzetta dello Sport also point out that Vidal has a good record against AC Milan in his career having lost just one of nine meetings against the Rossoneri. He has won six of the remaining eight games.
