Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta remained tight lipped when asked if this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan is at risk of postponement.

As things currently stand, Inter have a total of six players who are COVID-19 positive in Alessandro Bastoni, Milan Skriniar, Radja Nainggolan, Roberto Gagliardini, Ionut Andrei Radu and Ashley Young.

AC Milan meanwhile have both Leo Duarte and Matteo Gabbia as COVID-19 positive players within their squad.

In order for a game to be postponed, one of the competing teams must have at least 10 players COVID-19 positive at the same time before the team can even request a postponement.

“Is the derby at risk? Let’s not talk,” Marotta explained to the gathered reporters following the Lega Serie A meeting regarding television rights.

Inter versus AC Milan is scheduled to take place on Saturday night at San Siro with kick off scheduled for 18:00 local time. It will be the first time this season that the two great rivals lock horns with one another.
