Former Inter captain and current Paris Saint-Germain striker has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to mark the three year anniversary of his hat trick in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan.

Three years ago today, the controversial Argentine, who left Inter on a permanent basis in the most recent Summer transfer window, scored all three of Inter’s goals in a memorable 3-2 derby win for the Nerazzurri over their Rossoneri rivals.

“We were this that people don’t say and people don’t admit it, but you never forget it,” the 27-year-old posted to his Instagram Story.

Icardi, who came through the ranks at LaLiga club Barcelona, joined Inter in the Summer of 2013 and was a prolific goalscorer during his spell with the club. In six years on the club’s books, the former Sampdoria player made 219 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored 124 goals and provided 28 assists for his teammates.

Since joining Paris Saint-Germain, he has continued to be a good goal scorer with him having scored 22 goals in 38 appearances for them.
