Chelsea central midfielder N’Golo Kante’s future with the club could be in jeopardy if they sign Declan Rice according to a report from the online edition of British daily newspaper The Daily Star.
Chelsea have been courting West Ham United and England international midfielder Rice for some time now and if they manage to land him in the upcoming January transfer window, Kante’s future with the club could be impacted.
West Ham United insisted that Rice was not for sale at any price in the Summer but Chelsea plan to try and get a deal done for him in the coming months.
The report goes on to explain that Kante has a long list of clubs interested in him with Inter among the interested clubs whilst Barcelona and Real Madrid have also shown an interest in signing him in the past.
This season Kante has made five appearances across all competitions to date, in which he has failed to score any goals or tally any assists.
