Inter’s Lineup In Milan Derby Hinges On If Marcelo Brozovic Or Christian Eriksen Start Italian Media Claims

Inter manager Antonio Conte has practically decided the team he will deploy against AC Milan in this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The former Italian national team boss has one selection doubt though and that is whether to field Marcelo Brozovic or Christian Eriksen.

Should Brozovic be fielded, the report from the Rome based news outlet explains that Inter will play a 3-5-2 system but if Eriksen starts at the expense of Brozovic, then Inter will play a 3-4-1-2 system with Eriksen playing in the attacking midfield role in behind Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

The report also states that Conte could recover Alessandro Bastoni for the match if he is to return a negative test result for COVID-19, which he will be tested for again either today or tomorrow..

Probable Inter starting line-up (3-5-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Aleksandar Kolarov; Achraf Hakimi, Nicolo Barella, Marcelo Brozovic, Arturo Vidal, Ivan Perisic; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez
