After his recent comments in the media, it is now down to Christian Eriksen to show what he can do on the pitch for Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.
The Danish national team player, who scored three goals in as many games over the recently concluded international break, has recently made it clear that he does not want to sit on the bench and has made it clear that he is unhappy to not be playing regularly.
Inter manager Antonio Conte has not used Eriksen as much as expected since he arrived in the January transfer window. Eriksen has made 28 appearances, 12 of which as a starter. The remaining 16 appearances have come as a substitute and he often only gets on the field for a few minutes.
The report goes on to explain that Eriksen has always respected the choices made by Conte and that he has returned from national team duty regenerated. Tomorrow’s Milan derby represents a real chance to turn things around for Eriksen, who needs to show a change of pace with his performances.
