Today is the day when it will become known whether Alessandro Bastoni will be available for tomorrow’s Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

10 days have passed since Bastoni tested positive for COVID-19 and due to changes to the protocol, if he can return a negative test result today, he will then be subjected to other tests in order to get the green light to make a return.

The best case scenario for Bastoni is returning a negative result and being named among the substitutes tomorrow.

Bastoni is one of six Inter players to have tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 10 days with the five other players being Milan Skriniar, Roberto Gagliardini, Ionut Andrei Radu, Radja Nainggolan and Ashley Young.

Unlike Bastoni, none of these five players have any chance of being able to return for the derby.
