The battle between Inter’s Arturo Vidal and AC Milan’s Hakan Calhanoglu could be decisive in tomorrow evening’s Derby della Madonnina between the two Milanese clubs according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
Inter’s midfield will consist of Marcelo Brozovic, Vidal and Nicolo Barella whilst AC Milan’s will consist of Ismael Bennacer, Franck Kessie and Calhanoglu.
The report states that whilst Inter manager Antonio Conte can rely upon the madness of Brozovic, combativeness of Vidal and Dynamism of Vidal, he cannot count upon the imagination of Calhanoglu.
The midfield battle between Vidal and Calhanoglu will probably be decisive for the outcome of the first Milan derby of the 2020/21 season.
The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to add that Conte has an additional resource that he can call upon off of the substitutes bench in the shape of attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.
