Former Real Madrid and Spain goalkeeper Iker Casillas discussed Inter and Juventus’ opponents in the Champions League, Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively, in an interview in today’s print edition of the Italian sports magazine Sportweek.

“It will be a crucial moment to see the top of the two leagues and at what level they are. Four teams that are leaving to win in Europe, they are very strong, I’m curious to see what they will do.

“Inter seems to me to have strengthened a lot, with experienced men, already at the end of the last season they challenged Juventus, even if the Bianconeri then showed to be stronger and stronger.”

The Spanish football legend then spoke about other strong teams in Serie A, although he still thought that the title race was a two-horse race.

“And then I was surprised by Atalanta, who will fight for a top 4 finish in Serie A with Napoli and Lazio for me. In the end, however, it’s a Juve-Inter match for the title.”

Inter will face rivals AC Milan in the Milanese derby this evening, a key game for coach Antonio Conte and the Nerazzurri.

The Rossoneri have started the season strongly, winning their first three games in the league. Their opposition has not been the strongest in this period, and so tonight’s derby is their first real challenge of the season.

The Nerazzurri have also started well, winning their first two games against Fiorentina and Benevento before suffering a tough 1-1 draw with Lazio.

Juventus have been awarded the three points after Napoli failed to attend their match a few weeks ago, putting them level with the Nerazzurri.
