Italian journalist Fabio Caressa discussed tonight’s derby between Inter and AC Milan in an interview with Italian radio broadcaster Radio Deejay earlier today.

“It seems to me that Milan have a good chance given the absences at Inter. Then they are giving a new idea.

“I can’t predict the derby. I’d give two scorers for each side, Vidal and Lukaku for Inter, Calhanoglu and Maldini for Milan.”

Inter have won their last four league derbies against the Rossoneri, with their current record streak being five, between 1979 to 1983.

Both teams have started this season strongly, with Stefano Pioli’s AC Milan winning their first three games of the season, against Bologna, Crotone and Spezia. Tonight’s game against the Nerazzurri is their first real test of the season.

Antonio Conte’s Inter have also started the season well, winning their first two games of the season against Fiorentina and Benevento, before suffering a painful 1-1 draw against Lazio in Rome.

Inter will be without multiple players in today’s game who have tested positive for Covid-19. The club will be without Ashley Young, Roberto Gagliardini, Radja Nainggolan, Ionut Radu, Milan Skriniar and Alessandro Bastoni, although the 21-year-old Italian did test negative for the contagion yesterday.
