A report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia has analysed Inter’s start to the season after four games and compared that to last year.

The report details how the immediate difference is the way coach Antonio Conte has communicated with the media.

The coach has not blamed various possible excuses for any issues, such as the international break, the Covid-19 infections or the short time available to train for the derby. The only thing that was focused on was the performance.

The other big difference between this year and last after four games is the number of goals conceded, the report continues. Last campaign the Nerazzurri conceded only once in the first four outings, compared to eight times in this season.

One of the reason for the defensive issues is the absence of Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar and Italian Alessandro Bastoni, both of whom contracted the virus recently.

New signing Aleksandar Kolarov also didn’t impress in a central role and will need more time to perfectly understand Conte’s system.
