Italian journalist Paolo Condo discussed Inter’s tough 2-1 derby defeat to rivals AC Milan when speaking with Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia after the game.

“Inter had serious training problems, which Milan deeply exploited. Ibrahimovic found the weak point in Kolarov and attacked him. The two goals are both his fault.

“The Inter squad is evidently not so infinite, when you miss two starting defenders like Bastoni and Skriniar.”

He highlighted how the Rossoneri deserved to win against Antonio Conte’s squad.

“Milan won clearly against Inter, who are considered the title favorites, or at least the first alternative to Juventus.”

Finally, Condo expressed his disappointment with the performance of 28-year-old Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen.

“I would always like to see Eriksen on the field, but not the Eriksen that entered today, because that way he is useless. But I am not talking about playing like Vidal, he is a different player, he will never have that.

“I am talking about fighting for the ball, being seen, dictating lines of passage. Against AC Milan I didn’t see any of this.”

Eriksen, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, complained in the media recently about his lack of playing time with the Milanese club, since his arrival from Tottenham in the January transfer window.

The 28-year-old has made three appearances so far this season, for a total of 95 minutes, and has not particularly impressed in this time.

Last season, Eriksen made 26 appearances for Inter, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time.

He has struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system and needs to turn around his form, because otherwise he may depart the club in the upcoming winter transfer window.
